Important Message To All Members of PCO.

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all well.

It has been a long time (nearly 7 months) since we last saw each other and had the joy of music-making as PCO. 7 months when so much has happened in the world, and our lives have changed in so many ways!! If, like me, you have really missed the joy of music-making, and seeing others, then I have some great news.

After carefully examining the regulations regarding amateur music groups we ARE able to consider, and plan, for a restart. There is a lot that has to be planned before this can happen (Risk Assessments etc) but myself and the committee are starting to look at this for a possible return in January under ‘Covid-secure’ conditions. There are many of these but the main ones are:-

1. No more than 30 people are allowed to be in a rehearsal.

2. All members must socially distance at all times, andremain at least 2 metres apart (including in rehearsals).

3. There can be no social gatherings or break where people ‘mingle’ either within, or outside, the rehearsal.

4. Track and Trace in place, along with other documentation.

It is exciting that this is possible but, before we embark on this work to start again, we would like to find out if this is what you want, and how many people would be prepared to come back.

Therefore I have prepared a short online survey which I’d be really grateful if you could complete as soon as possible, but no later than WEDNESDAY 14 OCTOBER. It can be found at

If you have any queries on this please don’t hesitate to contact me via the PCO email address, or through the Facebook page.

Here’s hoping that we get to see each other, and work together again very soon.

Keep safe,

Robin Norman

Conductor, Peterborough Community Orchestra.
